Work with AI
Pick an assistant. It opens with a ready prompt and walks you through this guide step by step.
Help me follow the guide “Zoho Mail: business email on your own domain” from PerfoState: https://perfostate.com/guides/zoho/ Open this page and read the whole guide. Walk me through it point by point: describe one step, wait until I say it is done, and only then move on. If the guide has several paths, first ask which one fits my situation. Do not guess steps that are not on the page. If you cannot open the page, say so directly. If something does not work or the screen looks different from the guide, check the official Zoho Mail help (https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/) and tell me what changed. Questions about Zoho Mail
How much does Zoho Mail cost?
It depends on the plan and the number of mailboxes. Example: Mail Lite costs $1 per user per month with 5 GB or $1.25 with 10 GB, billed annually. For one mailbox that is $12 or $15 a year (our calculation). Prices as of October 13, 2026. Prices may change. Check the source: Zoho Mail pricing, as of October 13, 2026 (opens in a new tab)
Is there a free plan?
Zoho has “Mail Free” for up to 5 users, with 5 GB per user and one domain, but without IMAP, POP or ActiveSync, so it works mainly in Zoho’s own apps. Zoho says it is available only in select data centers, so check it when you sign up. Prices as of October 13, 2026. Prices may change. Check the source: Zoho Mail pricing, as of October 13, 2026 (opens in a new tab)
How many mailboxes do I need?
One mailbox is one address, for example hello@yourcompany.com. If you also want sales@yourcompany.com, choose 2 users. Pick 5 GB or 10 GB per mailbox depending on your attachments.
Do you get admin access to my email?
No. For a one-off setup, the domain instructions are enough. Admin access is needed only for ongoing monthly care of your mailbox: then you add us as a user with the admin role, which in Zoho means one extra paid mailbox.
Where are my emails stored?
Zoho stores accounts signed up with the United States in its US data center (Quincy, with Dallas as backup). Accounts from other countries go to the data center of their region, for example Europe or India. Check the source: Zoho data centers, as of October 13, 2026 (opens in a new tab)
