Domain registrar
The company where your domain was bought, for example GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare Registrar or Squarespace Domains. You change the domain settings in its dashboard.
How do you find out who your registrar is?
The easiest way is your domain invoice. For .com, .net and other generic domains you can also look the domain up at lookup.icann.org, which shows the registrar. For country domains such as .uk or .de, check the registry of that country.
Is the registrar the same as the hosting company?
Not always. Your domain can be bought from one company while your website runs on hosting from another. DNS settings connect the two.
