What is SPF?

Learn what “SPF” means in plain words.

SPF

Sender Policy Framework

A DNS entry that lists the servers allowed to send email on behalf of your domain. It helps keep your emails out of spam.

How does SPF work?

The recipient’s mailbox checks whether an email from your domain came from a server on the list. If not, the email may land in spam or be rejected.

When do you need to change SPF?

When you add a new tool that sends email from your domain, such as a website form. Its server is added to the existing SPF entry.
